  • Beschreibung: On the island of Chios in the 1960s and a few days before schools close for the summer vacations, the friendship between Giannis and Vangelis is overshadowed by a minor misunderstanding. Before long, however, the misunderstanding is put behind them, and the two boys intensely experience various moments of the island’s social life, as well as an unforgettable summer in the company of all their friends. Tenderness and childish “hellishness” alternate with romantic feelings and nostalgia. The film, largely autobiographical, unfolds through a lyrical lament for lost innocence, and its recovery becomes a matter of memory and artistic creation.
